We celebrate the life of Susan G. Pearce. Susie was born November 25, 1949 in Macon, Georgia to William and Maxine Glover. She passed away at her home surrounded by her family after a lengthy and brave battle with cancer on May 5, 2014 in Georgetown, Texas. Susie was a beautiful woman who loved life and family. She always had a smile on her face and a spring in her step. Susie was an avid golfer who played regularly, including tournaments in the Women's Golf Association. She was instrumental in putting together and playing in numerous charity tournaments, including those benefitting breast cancer. Susie also enjoyed cruises and traveling, bridge with friends, jewelry beading and spending time with her family.

Susie graduated from Oakhaven High School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1967. She then received a Dental Hygiene degree at the University of Tennessee in 1969, a Bachelor of Science degree from A&I University in 1974 and a Masters of Science degree from A&I University in 1977.

Susie was the Clinic Coordinator of the Dental Hygiene Program at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi from 1972 to 1978. She then taught dental hygiene classes at the University of Texas Branch in Houston, Texas. Paul and Susie married in the summer of 1980. Susie, Paul and Ben left Houston to live in Saudi Arabia, where Susie was instrumental in developing the Dental Hygiene Program fro Aramco students from 1980 to1986. This gave Susie a chance to travel the world with her family including skiing in the Austrian Alps and shopping in Hong Kong. After moving back to the States, Susie served as the Clinic Coordinator at Austin Community College for 10 years, from 2003 until June of 2013. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all.

Susie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Maxine Glover and granddaughter, Paige Corbell.

To cherish her memory, Susie leaves behind her husband of 33 years, Paul L. Pearce of Georgetown; son, Ben Huselton of Austin; stepchildren: Paul D. Pearce and wife Jane, Patrick Pearce and wife Keli and Pam Pond and husband Bill; step grandchildren: Jillian, Nelda, Kelsey and Zachary; step great grandchildren: Jackson and Riley; sister, Ann Conley and husband Dennis of Lake City, Florida; nephew, Keith Stafford and wife Kay; and nieces: Jessica Edenfield and husband Matthew and Tiffany Stafford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Breast Cancer Society, Scott and White Hospice, or the charity of your choice.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at The Worship Place in Sun City, Georgetown, Texas. Senior Pastor Kelly Barnett will be officiating. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Killeen, Texas at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. The family strongly recommends casual attire be worn for Susie's services.
