Helen Crigger Chadwell, 84, died at 11:25 AM Tuesday, Oct. 2, 1994, at Heritage Healthcare, West Lafayette, where she had been a patient for three-and-one-half years. Born April 2, 1910, at Wallens Ridge, KY, she had been a resident of Lafayette since 1165, coming here from Ewing, VA. In 1927, she married Oda Chadwell at Cumberland Gap, TN; he died Nov. 13, 1984.
Surviving are four sons, Paul Chadwell, David Chadwell, William Chadwell, and Stephen Chadwell, all of Lafayette; a daughter, Bonnie Lou (Mrs. Ogle) Oxford of Middlesboro, KY; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
