In 1880 he is living in Carroll County, Iowa with his wife and three children, age is 31 and in 1895 he is in Wessington, Beadle, SD, age is 47. He married Mary F. Dipple in 1896, maiden name was Anderson, first husband Thomas Alderson, second was Daniel B. Dipple, according to the published notice of such in the Pioneer Press on 20 Feb 1896. The 1900 census has both of them living with two of his children and one of hers. His obituary was published on 29 Aug 1907 in the Pioneer Press stating he died at Hudson, WI after an illness of several months leaving two grown daughters, one son and a second wife.
