Funeral services for Jacob Rath, 62, who was killed instantly last Tuesday when the car in which he was riding collided with the fast Milwaukee Hiawatha, were held at the Terry Community Church with Reverend Herbert Zimmerman of Fallon, officiating. Interment was made in the Terry Cemetery.
Jacob Rath was born April 08, 1886, to Mr. and Mrs. John Rath in South Russia. He came to America with his parents and spent his childhood days near Gackle, North Dakota. In 1913, he moved to Watkins, Montana, where he engaged in farming. He was naturalized in Terry on May 20, 1916, and in 1939 he moved to Terry where he was steadily employed until his death.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Otto Spidel of Brockway and Mrs. Iver Swanson of Powell, Wyoming; two sons, Robert and Ervin of Terry; two brothers, John of Gackle, North Dakota, and Christ of Watkins; and two sisters, Mrs. Christ Wolff and Mrs. Ted Heitz, of Terry.
