Jay Alan Perry, loving husband & father, caring Pastor, and Jack-of-all-trades was born July 4, 1949 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Ray and Effie Perry. He went to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 1, 2014.
Jay lived his life for God and gave everything of himself to his family, others and his church. He worked hard at everything he did. He was gentle, kind, loving, understanding and not judgmental. Jay loved people for who they were individually. He raised his family with strong Christian values, hard work was necessary, and family time was a priority. He learned to play guitar around the age of 9 and shared his love of music with his children and his church.
Jay enlisted in the United States Army in 1968, with his brother Danny, on the buddy system and served in Vietnam. He loved his country.
Jay's family and many friends are sad he is not with us. We love him and will miss him here. His pain and suffering are over and he is joined with his parents, friends and some family who have already made it to heaven.
Jay is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ronda; his five children, Amanda Harmon (John) and Crystal Seward (Kirk) all of Parma, Loretta Perry of Asheboro, NC, Ray Perry (Lynette) of Salem, OR, and Timothy Perry (Paige) of NC; three brothers, Danny Perry (Diane) of Grants Pass, OR, David Perry (Wendy) of Mt Vernon, WA, and Wayne Perry (Eva) of Keizer, OR; a sister, Alice Durell of Redmond, OR; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
