Julie Fisher was born January 26, 1966 in Riceville, IA to Eugene and Shirley (Haugland)Fisher. She was a 1984 graduate of J.D. Darnall High School, Geneseo, IL. She worked at Tyson Foods in Joslin for 13 years where she was a Union Steward. Prior to that sje farmed with her father in rural Yorktown/Prophetstown area. Julie loved spending time with her daughter, Shauna, as well as doing ceramics, playing cards, and playing with Daisy Mae, her dog.

Julie passed away at the age of 46,on Thursday, December 6, 2012 qt St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 10th at the Geneseo Chapel of Vandemore Funeral Homes. Rev. Rod Dye officiated. Burial was in North Cemetery, Geneseo.

Julie is survived by her daughter, Shauna Fisher, Erie; her parents, Gene and Shirley Fisher, Geneseo; 2 sisters and spouses: Deb Carpenter (Glenn Johnson)Prophetstown and Denise (Mike) Ward, Geneseo; 2 nephews: Brad (Joleen) Carpenter and Andy (Mallorie) Ward; 2 nieces: Samantha (Curt) Busse and Sara Ward; 3 great-nieces; and 1 great-nephew. she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Fisher and her grandparents.
