Edgar was born June 11, 1930 to Benjamin Frank and Ida Bivens Hargrove in Columbia and he passed from this life on January 7, 2012 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.
He worked at the paper mill in West Monroe. He served his country in the Army for two years and he was a former song leader at Palestine Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Edna Hargrove of Columbia; daughter: Rhonda Hargrove of Columbia; brother: B.F. Hargrove of Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Gholson, David Massey, Jim Steele, Steve Millien, Marty Spangler, and Mark Hargrove.
