Flying Tigers of the Chinese Air Force
Lt. Martin was the first Flying Tiger to be killed in aerial combat in the skies over Rangoon, Burma.
He was killed in action while piloting a fighter aircraft, battling the Japanese in the skies above Rangoon, Burma. Lt. Martin is buried in Plot No 45 of the Mingaladon Cantonment Cemetery, Rangoon, Burma.
