Dorothy A. Duvall, 92, of Damascus, MD died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at her Daughter's home in Dickerson. She was born January 27, 1922 in Damascus and was the daughter of Leonard Pearce and Edna Watkins Pearce Brandenburg

Dorothy grew up in Damascus and graduated from Damascus High School and then worked for Acacia Insurance Company in Washington, DC. In 1942 she married David Duvall and they had one daughter, Norma L. Roddy. Later she worked for Damascus High School for over 30 years as the cafeteria manager.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David, sister Betty Brown, and brother Glenwood Pearce. She is survived by her daughter Norma Roddy and husband Bob; two grandchildren Melissa Schwartz of Frederick, MD, and Melinda Hallett of Washington, IA; and six great grandchildren Gregory, Kristen, Victoria, Amber, William and Kennedy of Washington, IA.

Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 8th, at the Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 9th, at the funeral home. Internment will follow in Damascus Methodist Cemetery. In lieu flowers, please make donations to your charity of choice .
