GREENVIEW - John Amerkamp, 53, died at his home five miles northeast of here Saturday at 4:35 a.m., after being ill for several weeks. He was born in this community Sept. 7, 1879 the son of Marie and Herman Amerkamp and spent his entire life here. Nov. 4, 1914 he was married to Miss Addie Schroer of Troy, Mo. He was a member of the St. John's Evangelical church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Addie Amerkamp, two sisters, Mrs. George Busch of Greenview and Mrs. Harmon Miller of Petersburg and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the residence and 2 p.m., at the St. John's Evangelical church with Rev. Fred Schnathorst of Petersburg officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood cemetery here.
