He was born on November 29, 1926 in Connersville, the son of George W. and Dorothy Payton Bell, both whom precede him. He was in the United States Army during 1945-1946 having served in Japan, a lifetime member of the VFW, and past president of the Western County Horse Club. He was a member of the Park Place Church of God, had worked at American Kitchens, Connersville Casket Company and retired from D & M. He enjoyed riding and breaking horses, participating in horse shows, and riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Josephine Venable, who he married on October 4, 1947in Connersville; three daughters. Judy McClurg of Linton, IN, Debbie (Glen) McQueen and Jenny Bloom both of Connersville; one son, Loyd (Lori) Bell, Jr. of Connersville; two brothers, Marion Bell and Cecil Bell both of Connersville; a sister Mary White of Russells Point, OH; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 2 great, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is preceded by a son, Danny Lee Bell; three brothers, George, Alvin, and Revel Bell; two sisters, Lina Erlewein and Doris McQueary
