US Congressman. Served in the Whiskey Rebellion as an Aide-de-Camp to General Henry "Light Horse Harry" Lee (father of Robert E. Lee). Elected to represent New Jersey as an At-Large Delegate to the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1836 to 1837.
