LINCOLN - Nelson "Gene" Johnson, 86, of Lincoln died on December 31, 2010. Gene was born December 14, 1924 in Lincoln. He married Anita Lenardt in Lincoln on January 23, 1948.
He is survived by his wife Anita of Lincoln, two daughters, Cynthia Melin (Tim Humes) Johnson of Seattle, WA and Beth (Ken) Stewart of Elmwood, IL. He is also survived by one brother David (Janet) Johnson of Pekin, IL and three grandchildren, Daniel Humes, Britta Humes and Anna Stewart.
Services for Mr. Johnson will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday January 5, 2011 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Lincoln with visitation on Tuesday evening from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, IL.
