After settling in Keyeser, Columbia County, WI for 20 + years, the family moved to Mitchell County, IA in 1869. Andres lived there until he died and was returned to Spring Prairie Lutheran Church Cemetery for burial, according to his wishes.
Andres had seven siblings: Gulleik (Aug 1812) who immigrated in 1854, Ole or Olav (Feb, 1814) who immigrated in 1845, Anna (Sep 1820) who married Odd Knutsson Brunborg and immigrated to Spring Prairie, WI in 1848, and younger siblings: Nils (Jul 1826) who immigrated in 1848, Endre (1828) who immigrated in 1848, Haldor (1832 – 1832), and Torbjørg Knutsdatter (1834) who immigrated in 1848 and married Johannes Sjursson Berstad.
Anders’ father, Knut Gulleiksson Fadnes married a second time in 1848 to Inger Brynjulvsdatter Skjerveggen (1813) and immigrated in 1848. He became farmer in Spring Prairie, WI and is buried there. They had three more children.
