Howard S. Lloyd, 67, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111 1st St. A, Moline.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
Howard was born May 18, 1943, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Moral and Thelma Lloyd. He married Karla White on May 17, 1980, in Rock Island.
Howard retired from Alcoa in 2003 after 30 years. He was a U.S. Marine veteran.
Howard was a member of the United Steel Workers Local 105, Riverside. He was an avid Chicago sports fan and loved fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Karla; son, Lance Lloyd, Rock Island; daughter, Dixie Peterson, Davenport; grandchildren, Gabriella and Alexander Lloyd; sisters, Pearl (John) Branch and Betty Taylor; and brothers, Gerald (Myrna) Lloyd, Melvin Lloyd, Harold Lloyd and Spencer (Leisa) Lloyd. He was preceded in death by a son, Deke; and sister, Deborah.
