Doctor Sam B. Malone

Doctor Sam B. Malone came to Columbus as a surgeon from the United States Navy, and soon became the most distinguished surgeon and physician in Northeastern Mississippi. This rank he held until his death.

of Colonel John D. Bibb. his daughter, Miss Nettie Bibb, married Hon. Alfred Glover, of Forkland, Ala., and they are the parents of Ledyard A. Vaughan, of this city. Doctor Malone was married four times. His second wife was Miss Mary Moore. His third wife was Miss Winfield Sykes, mother of Mrs. Hunter Walker, now a citizen of Columbus. His last wife was Mrs. Bates.
