Funeral Wednesday For Native of Blue Creek Township
Elizabeth G. Allen, 68, a native of Blue Creek Township, and the wife of Guy Allen of Decatur, died at 6:02 p.m. Sunday at the Adams County Memorial Hospital following an illness of five weeks. She had been critical for one week and death was attributed to complications.
Mrs. Allen was born December 6, 1891, the daughter of Joseph and Hannah Clymer Miller. She was married to Guy Allen, February 25, 1925. The family formerly resided east of Berne.
Surviving are the husband; four sons, Ivan W. Allen, Perryville, Maryland; Nevin Miller, Decatur, who was raised in the Allen home; Jack Allen, Ft. Wayne; and Tom Allen, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Fegley and Mrs. Donna Gage, both of Decatur; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Ethel King, Decatur.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Black Funeral Home, Decatur, Rev. George Christian officiating.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery northeast of Berne. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the Auxiliary of the DAV, American Legion and VFW.
