Wanda Fletcher Gordon, 81, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas.
She was born on March 24, 1933 to Winola Christine Fletcher and Patrick Fields Fletcher in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was a longtime resident of the area. Wanda retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a clerk after 34 years of service, where she started as the first female carrier at the Port Arthur office. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1952.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl "Danny" Gordon, her daughter, Jeanelle Gordon McGraw, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Donny and Myrtis Fletcher and Jimmy and Louise Fletcher.
She is survived by her daughter, Danna Lynne Gordon; her three sons, William "Bill" Gordon and wife, Shawn, Durwin Gordon and Stewart Gordon; nine grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
