Virginia Lewis, 71, Carl Junction, MO, died May 2, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital, following an illness. Virginia was born June 8, 1942 in Wheeler, Texas and lived in Neosho and Chanute, prior to moving to Carl Junction. While living in Neosho, she had worked at Teledyne and the former Sale Memorial Hospital. She then moved to Chanute, Kansas and lived there several years and while living in Chanute, worked as an administrative assistant for government offices and banks. She then moved to Carl Junction and has resided in Carl Junction the last 25 years. Virginia is survived by her husband, Stanley of the home, a daughter, Mendi Brazil and husband, Todd, Pittsburg, KS; a stepson, Jeffrey Lewis, and wife, Tela, State of Mississippi; a brother, Gene Pettit and wife, Betsy, Neosho and two grandchildren, Cole Brazil and Leah Brazil. Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 10 am at the Neosho IOOF Cemetery, Rev. Roger Brumley will officiate. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Monday from 9 am until 5 pm.
