Becky was born June 26, 1927, in Jackson, the daughter of Calvin and Alice Travis. She married Thomas Vincent in 1948. After Tom's death in 2001, Becky moved to Holland to be near her son and his family.
Becky was known for her big, bright smile, which could light up any room. She enjoyed knitting, word searches, gardening, baking cookies and was certain to bake an angel food cake if expecting company. Becky was a friend to all animals, and the cats and dogs that she loved throughout her life were truly fortunate to have her. She loved her family and spending time with them.
Becky had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jackson for over 50 years. While there, she was involved with the Franciscans, arranged funeral dinners and participated in numerous activities. She was also a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Holland.
Becky was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Mark (Susan) Vincent of Holland, Theresa (Bob) McKenna of Engadine; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Horosko of Albion; grandchildren, Kari (Gary) Gietek, Corey (Ginger) Vincent, Chad Vincent, Eric (Christy) Vincent, Kendra (Todd) Potter, Shanna Vincent, and Brad (Sarah) Vincent; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Hunter Gietek, Aubrey, Thomas, Reed, Christian, and Reese Vincent; nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents and husband, Becky was preceded in death by a son, Martin Vincent; grandsons, Bradley Weyrowski, Scott and Ryan Vincent; and siblings, Isabelle, Preston, William and Margaret.
A memorial mass will be Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 1 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jackson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harbor Humane Society in West Olive, Hospice of Holland, or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. For an online registry, visit www.dykstrafuneralhome.com.
