Funeral service for Mrs. Rosa Bell Blackburn was held Sunday afternoon at 2 P.M. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ira Singleton officiating. Interment in Maple Cemetery with H.S. Smith Funeral Home service.
She was born in Florence, Alabama on June 8, 1894.
She died at the National Health Enterprises in Paducah, Kentucky on August 11, 1977 at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 3 days. She attended school in Alabama.
In 1913 in Leighton, Alabama she was united in marriage to Johnny Oldham. He preceded her in death in 1918.
On August 1, 1944 in Blytheville, Arkansas she was united in marriage to John Archie Blackburn. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1956.
Mrs. Blackburn was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, James Oldham of Paducah, Ky.; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Adair of Osceola, Ark., Mrs. Annette Byler of Desoto, Mo., and Mrs. Margaret Eubanks of Groveland, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Scott of Florence, Alabama, Mrs. Lula Coats of Mark Tree, Ark., and Mrs. Carrie Hart of Florence, Alabama; and 18 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jacob Vandyke, Donald Hedge, Roger Murphy, Harry Garner, Rick Oldham.

On July 25, 1920, Rosa married James Henry Kirby in Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Alabama. There were three daughters from this marriage -- Marie, Annette, and Margaret. James Henry Kirby died on Nov 26, 1929 in Leighton, Colbert County, Alabama.
