Anna Belle Gibbs Keeling, 100, of Taylorsville passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at her residence. Born in Nelson County, the daughter of the late John L. and Lena Parker Gibbs. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday with six generations in attendance. She was the widow of the late Evan Keeling Sr. A mother of 13 children and grandmother to 51 grandchildren, 119 great-grandchildren, 119 great-great grandchildren and six great-great-great grandchildren. She was a homemaker and member of the Taylorsville Grace Chapel Church of God of Prophecy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Edna Francis Atcher Rose; her sons, James and Larkin Keeling.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Breeding of Springfield, Lucille Goodlett of Louisville, Ann Hortenberry Terry of Salem, IN, Effie Barrick Cox of Mt. Washington, Louise Bennett Collins of chaplain, Carolyn Jewell of Jamestown, Betty Atha of Frankfort, Rosie Hilbert of Taylorsville; her sons, Charles Keeling of Bloomfield and Evan Keeling, Jr. of Taylorsville; her half brother, J.C. Gibbs of Dixon.

Funeral services were conducted at Grace Chapel Church of God of Prophecy on Saturday with Brothers Mike Willingham, Bobby Jewell, and Johnny Hood officiating. Interment was held at Highland Memorial Gardens in Mt. Washington. Greenwell-Jenkins-Houghlin Funeral Home a member of the order of the golden rule was in charge of the arrangement.
