Funeral services were at 3 p.m. April 30 at Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Jefferson. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
Peggy was born June 15, 1958 to the late Amos William and Alice Wright Adams. She attended public schools in Chesterfield County. She was employed for a number of years by Caro-Knit, Jefferson, where she worked in various capacities including a supervisor. Peggy was also a member of Mount Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. On July 17, 1987 she married Michael Reid.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Reid and a brother, John L. Adams.
Surviving are Hazel Robinson of Jefferson; a daughter, Tiffany Reid of Jefferson; two granddaughters, Tiana Reid of Jefferson and Jer'meja Reid of Pageland; four sisters, Evelyn (Horlis) Raley and Mazie Baker of Charlotte, N.C., True Love (Randolph) Baker of Pageland, and Barbara (Ervin) Seegars of Jefferson; four brothers, Connie B. (Enice) Adams and Nathaniel Adams of Charlotte, N.C., Jessie B. (Virginia) Adams Adams and Bill Amos (Albertina) Adams of Jefferson; sibling, Ada M. Adams; two aunts; two uncles; and other relatives and friends.
