Dan Franklin Long, 66, Louisville, formerly of Georgetown, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Louisville.

Born March 18, 1941, in Floyd County, he was the son of the late Will and Virginia Ruth Murphy Long.

He was a retired cab driver in Louisville and an Army veteran of the Vietnam era.

Survivors include two brothers, Bruce Long of Lexington, Ky., and Robert Murphy of Lanesville.

Visitation: Saturday, June 30, from 10 a.m. to noon at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.

Funeral and burial: Private.
