Jettie L. Adams, age 93, a resident of Edgewater, FL formerly of Morton, MS died Saturday May 18, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center in Edgewater, FL following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Friday May 24, 2013 from the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton with interment in the Morton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm Thursday. Rev. Kevin Melus and Rev. Charlie Kerr will officiate.
Mrs. Adams was born on September 23, 1919 to Marion R. Crawford and Mary Walker Crawford in the Hillsboro community in rural Scott County.
She had retired from the Raleigh Corporation in 1972. She was a woman of great faith, as she was active in her church. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, family and friends.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Hall when they resided in the Kalem community near Morton.
She is survived by her husband, Edward B. Adams of Edgewater, FL a step-son John Edward Adams of Winter Haven, FL a sister-in-law, Rhea Crawford and a nephew, Michael Crawford both of Forest, MS.
Pallbearers are Chris Tadlock, Kevin Tadlock, Mike Crawford and Dwayne Madison.
