Funeral services for Willie Alfred 'Al' Brock, 81, of Huntington, will be held in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Jackson Colwell officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in the Gann Cemetery under the auspices of the Homer Masonic Lodge #254, A.F. & A.M.
Mr. Brock was born December 6, 1932 in Ratcliff, Texas to Charlie Alfred and Willie (Welch) Brock, and died Thursday, May 1, 2014 in a local hospital.
Mr. Brock served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Texas Foundries following 39 years of employment. He was a past Master of the Homer Masonic Lodge, #254 A.F. & A.M. Mr. Brock enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors. Mr. Brock was a kind, gentle, fair and honest man, and loved his family and friends.
Survivors include:
* his wife, Rena M. Brock
* daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Bobby Weaver and Diana and Lynn Griffith
* son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Rebecca Brock
* granddaughters, Amy Chapel and husband Jeremy 'Tater', and Crystal Miley and husband Jack 'Punkin'
* grandsons, Cullen, Dalton and Remington Brock
* great-grandchildren, Brandon, Briley and Blayne Chapel, and Ashley Miley
* sisters, Marie Pyle, Juanita Pyle, and Charlene Pyle and husband Joe 'Bunky', all of Lufkin
* numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many special friends
He was preceded in death by:
* his parents
* his brother, J.D. Brock
* his sister, Faye Naron
