Milo "Mike" Hartman, 86, of 1604 10th Ave. SW, died Sunday morning in Mercy Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery . Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Brosh Chapel and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; three stepdaughters, Shirley Kaplan and her husband, Donald, of Ely, Geri Hough and her husband, Emerson, of Cedar Rapids and Karen Denzler and her husband, Donald, of Marshalltown; a stepson, Richard Powers and his wife, Gayle, of Cedar Rapids; 14 stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and three sisters, Helen White of Cedar Rapids, Adaline Butler of Mechanicsville and Valesda Achey and her husband, Chuck, of Bettendorf.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Born June 23, 1906, in Linn County, the son of Frank and Josie Havlik Hartman, he married Esther Goede on Feb. 24, 1951, in Janesville, Wis. Mike was a heavy equipment operator for Martin Marietta for many years. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Operation Engineers Union 234 and Trinity Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Wayne C. Schroeder will officiate. Memorial donations may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
