Born April 29, 1948, Bob was the son of Betty L. (Searfoss) High, of Country Meadows in Wyomissing and the late Robert F. High.
Bob was a 1966 graduate of Reading High School. He earned both his B.S. in Education and his Master's Degree in Education from Bloomsburg University in 1970 and 1976, respectively. Bob went on to earn his Principal's Certification from Temple University.
Stationed in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Bob served his country for several years as a radioman second-class in the United States Navy.
Bob was retired from the Reading School District, where he served as both a teacher and an administrator for over 32 years.
Bob was an avid golfer and sports fan. He was a devoted follower of Penn State football.
Those who knew Bob will always remember him as a loyal man with with a generous heart.
In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by his beloved daughter, Lauren, wife of Nicolas Shaak, Sinking Spring; his best friend, Diane (Perate), whom he married on July 7, 1979; his brother, Lee E. and family, of Exeter Township.
