family moved to a farm south of Sac
City. In 1932 he moved east of Newell,
where he resided until moving into
Newell in 1976.
He married Josephine Johnson in
1936 and was the father of two children,
Sharel and Bill.
Edgar was a farmer all of his life
and was still hauling grain to town for
his grandson when he was in his eighties.
He was a faithful member of the
First Congregational Church and seldom
missed being there on Sunday until
ill health was the cause of his absence.
