Debbie Webb, of Varnville, SC, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2014.

She will be remembered for her love of life and contagious laughter. Debbie enjoyed arts and crafts, photography, volunteer efforts, and caring for others. She never complained and fought her battle with cancer with dignity, vigor and independence.

Debbie was born in Freeport, IL and spent the majority of her life raising children and volunteering in Warrenton, VA. While there, she worked as a Registered Nurse, specializing in oncology until retiring to SC to be with her mother and stepfather.

She attended the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with an Associate's degree in nursing. Debbie was an Eastern Star member of Chapter 101 in Marshall, VA. She was also awarded the Outstanding Young Women of the Year Award in 1984 and the Manchester Who's Who honored award. She attended Varnville First Baptist Church where she was a generous volunteer and was also an organizing member of the Varnville Red Hat Society, the Scarlett O'Hattras.

Debbie is survived by her husband Louis Dale Webb of Demorest, GA and her mother Charlotte E. Tuten of Varnville, SC. She was the daughter of the late Paul R. Phillips and the stepdaughter of the late Herman R. Tuten. Also surviving are her children, Paul Dale Fleury (Rhonda) of Lafayette, IN and Jill Fleury DeVoe (John) of Herndon, VA; and brother, Daniel Phillips (Denise) of Penhook, VA. Her legacy of laughter and love continue through her adoring
grandchildren, Thomas, Mason, and Jackson DeVoe, and Katelyn, Nathan, and Charlotte Fleury; and stepson, Seth Webb (Morgan).

Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, May 4, 2014 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Sandy Run Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:30 pm until the hour of service.
