June 8, 1787 - Hezekiah and Mary, son and daughter of Daniel Hine were baptized.

The marriage of Hezekiah Hine and Mary Atwater was the first wedding in Shalersville. This wedding drew out all the beauty and fashion of those primitive times, and the knot was tied by Squire Elias Harmon. Hezekiah came to Shalersville in 1808.

Hezekiah Hine appears on the Portage Tax List in Mantua for 1810-1811.
Also appears on the Shalersville, Portage County, Ohio Tax list for 1812, 1813, 1814, 1817, 1818, 1819, and 1820.

On 7/14/1812, Hezekiah was commissioned to meet at Ravenna for service in the war of 1812. He was in the Fourth Company, First Battalion, Second Regiment, Fourth Brigade, and was a Lieutenant. He served from 8/24/1812 to 9/1/1812.
