My great grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Jane Greer, was the daughter of Gaines W. Greer and Indiana Penelope Varner. She married John C. Amos about 1874 in Wood Co., TX. After his death about 1785 she married William H. Way on 31 Jan 1889 in Wood Co., TX. She was survived by four children from her first marriage; James Newton, John William, Mary Emiline Indiana "Ann", and Nancy Eveline "Eve" Amos and one child, Sarah Willie Way, from her second marriage.
