Geneva O. ‘Granny’ Gresham
PONDER — Geneva O. “Granny” Gresham, 89, of Ponder died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at Baylor, All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth. She was born Feb. 6, 1916, in Argyle to Tom and Mary (Stansell) Dudley. She was married to Lester Howard (Red) Gresham in Denton, on July 23, 1936; he died June 5, 1984. She attended Ponder United Methodist Church. She had worked as a sales clerk for Bealls and Anthony department stores.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Ponder United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bill Bane officiating, with burial to follow in Prairie Mound Cemetery in Argyle. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5.
Mrs. Gresham is survived by a daughter, Clara Henderson of Blue Mound; and a son and his wife, Freddy and P.J. Gresham of Krum; a sister, Clara Graham of Duncan, Okla.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.
Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
