JAMES DOANE DEAD

Cottonwood Falls, Kan., April 25: James Doane, about 40 years old, and one of the best known farmers of this vicinity, was found dead in his bedroom at his home, several miles southeast of town yesterday. Doane came to town Wednesday to consult a physician, saying he was not feeling well, but he was able to make the trip to and from town alone. His body was found early this morning and physicians say his death was caused by paralysis. He leaves a wife and several children. A couple of weeks ago, while working in his fields, Doane fell from his machine and was in an unconscious condition when found several hours later by a neighbor who was passing. He was believed to have sustained injuries at that time from which he never fully recovered, although he has lately appeared strong and in normal health.
