Mrs. Fortier was a longtime resident of the Lakes Region and was a member of the Meredith Center Free Will Baptist Church. She and her husband were the former caretakers of Oakland Cemetery. A stay-at-home mother, she raised all her children in their home in Meredith Center and was a wonderful, caring and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include a son, Robert F. Fortier, of Smyrna Mills, Maine; five daughters, Cheryl F. McGary of Houlton, Maine, Christine M. Fortier of Gilford, Noreen L. Ferland of Meredith, Susan M. Daley of Belmont and Flora E. Maheux of Laconia; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Robert Bonner, both of Meredith; a sister, Ruth Minor, of Tilton and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fortier was predeceased by her husband, Francis G. Fortier, and a daughter, Rosalie.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00PM at the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith Center, N.H.
