Funeral services for Debra Faye Nielsen, 53, of Rayville, LA will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, May 2, 2014 at the House of Grace, Delhi, LA with Rev. Roger Temple and Rev. Terry Temple officiating. Interment will follow in the McKnight Cemetery, Holly Ridge, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Debra was born December 2, 1960 in Monroe, LA and passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Rayville, LA.
Debra is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Juanita Nelson.
Debbie and her sister, Dorthy were raised by parents who gave them the love of music. Then both Debbie and Dorthy took their love of music and ministered and witnessed throughout various places. Debbie also enjoyed crocheting and crafts along with the love of her pets "babies".
Survivors include her husband of 29-years, David Nielsen of Rayville; sons, Garland Nielsen and wife, Summer of West Monroe and Randall Johnston of Rayville; grandchildren, Peyton and Katharyn Nielsen of West Monroe; sisters, Margaret Nicholson and James of West Monroe, Wanda Boren of Rayville, Dorthy Woodward and husband, Herschel of Epps, and Michelle Tibbs and husband, James of Rayville; sister-in-law, Carole Sanders and husband, Mac of West Monroe; brothers-in-law, Lee Nielsen and wife, Susie of West Monroe and Johnny Nielsen and wife, Nanette of San Antonio, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family, friends, and church family.
