EDWIN L. JONES
AUGUST 5, 1935 - JANUARY 26, 2020

Edwin L. Jones of Birmingham, AL passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the age of 84. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and will be missed. Mr. Jones was a retired Police Officer with the City of Birmingham. He was a member of Huffman Baptist Church and the Leeds Masonic Lodge (formerly East Lake Lodge). He truly enjoyed getting together with his old buddies and playing guitars, but most of all he enjoyed being around his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Kelly Jones; his son, David Jones; a daughter, Beth McGuire; granddaughter, Lauren Hallmark; grandson, Nicholas McGuire; great granddaughters, Celie Hallmark and Shiloh Hallmark; sisters, Carole Sellers and Sue Going; special friend and caregiver, Wayne Ingram.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Rideout's Trussville Chapel from 5
until 7 PM followed by a graveside service on Thursday in Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, AL at 11 AM.
