Mrs. Nellie O. Leidig, 87, formerly of Keene, died at 8:25 p.m. Friday at Foreman Nursing Home in Coshocton following an illness.
Born Feb. 17, 1885, at Ada, Mrs. Leidig ws a daughter of Jerome and Amanda Newan Hoon. On March 2, 1905 she married George G. Leidig who died in January 1952.
Mrs. Leidig was a member of Keene United Methodist Church and was a life member of the church's Women's Society of Christian Service.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Willard (Sara) Dartsock of Coshocton Route 1 and Mrs. Wilber (Margaret) Dickerson of Coshocton Route 3; four sons, Leonard Leidig of Frenso Route 2, David of Columbus, Gaylord of Galene and Frank of Galion; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Walters of Columbus and Mrs. Mary Evans of Zanesville; a brother, John Hoon of New Concord; 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. A son, a daughter, a brother and a great-grandchild are deceased.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Keene United Methodist Church with Rev. C.F.Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Keene Cemetery.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw and at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday.
