Age 63
Robert Adam Althaus, 63, 1911 32nd St., Moline died in Moline Public Hospital at 3:30 this morning. He had been taken to the hospital early yesterday following a heart attack.
Mr. Althaus was born Aug. 20, 1892 in Muscatine, Iowa, son of Conrad and Pircilla Althaus. He graduated from Iowa State College, Ames, as a mechanical engineer in 1916.
Upon graduation he joined Deere & Co. as a mechanical engineer. He had worked at the John Deere Plow Works for the last nine years.
On Sept. 22, 1917, he married Lillian Allmendinger of Moline. He was a member of the East Moline Lodge 969, AF & AM.
Surviving are the widow; two sons; Robert A. and Luman Paul, both of Moline; two grandsons, and two sisters; Edith Maxson, Atalissa, Iowa, and Mrs. Bessie Brookhart, Muscatine.
Services will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon in the Esterdahl Chapel, Dr. Walter A. Tillberg, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, officiating. The East Moline Masonic Lodge will conduct services.
Friends may call at the Esterdahl Chapel after 7 in the evening, Saturday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
