She was baptized in Elsborg Lutheran
Church at Pomeroy and attended county
school near Pomeroy for eight years.
In March of 1914, Ellen and her
family moved to Albert City.
Ellen married Andrew Berg on Feb.
12, 1942 and they lived on a farm near
Albert City until Andrew passed away
on May 2, 1950. Then she moved into
town and worked at the Albert City Cafe
and Southside Cafe until she retired.
Ellen was a member of Our Savior's
Lutheran Church in Albert City. She
enjoyed tatting, visiting with friends and
spending time with her great-great nieces
and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her
parents, her husband, Andrew; two sisters,
Florence Swenson and Dora Berg;
and three brothers, Hilder, Emil and
Harvey Johnson.
