PFAFFTOWN, NC ~ Mr. Ted Fulk Holder, 78, passed away Sept. 18, 2002.

He was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Forsyth County to the late Hubert Elsworth and Bessie Fulk Holder.

Ted lived in Pfafftown all his life, where he was a farmer until starting Ted Holder Plumbing Co., which was in business for 42 years.

Ted was an active member of Middle Cross Baptist Church in Pfafftown. He was saved by God's Amazing Grace in the year of 1950 at Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Etta Sale Holder in 1991; and a sister, Katie Mae Holder.

Mr. Holder is survived by his wife, Rumeal Hicks Holder of the home; a daughter, Frances Petree and husband Hoke of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sons, Paul Holder and wife Nora of Charlotte, Steve Holder of Pfafftown and the Rev. Tommy Holder and wife Debbie of Pfafftown; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Juadaine Chambers of Pfafftown; a niece; two nephews; and a stepdaughter, Virlie Creasman of Pfafftown.

The funeral service for Mr. Holder will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with the Rev. Tom Maxey and the Rev. Tommy Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home in Rural Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, 1100-C S. Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
