Mr. James "Coon" William Shores, 66, of Bonifay, FL passed away Sun, Apr 20, 2014. He was born Sep 20, 1947, in Bonifay, FL to the late Josiah Shores and Myrtle Chesnut Shores. Mr. Shores was retired from the Florida Game and Freshwater Fish Commission.
In addition to his parents, a sister, Jacqulyn Shores, precedes him in death. Mr. Coon Shores is survived by his son, Josiah Shores and wife, Joanna of Bonifay, FL; 2 grandchildren, Tyson Shores and Kinzey Shores, both of Bonifay, FL; 1 brother, Joe Boy Shores of Bonifay, FL; and 1 sister, Janice Rich and husband, Ralph of Bonifay, FL.
Funeral services were held at 11 am Thu, Apr 24, 2014 at Poplar Head Independent Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ike Steverson officiating. Interment followed in the Poplar Head Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay, FL directing. Family received friends one hour before the service at the church.
