Died 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, 1989, at The Retirement Center. He was 74, a native of Gloster, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Exxon USA process operator, with 30 years service, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 9 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by Dr. Ray Hope. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by wife, Ruth Powers Crum; a daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Roger Morgan, Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Darryl G. and Faith Deslatte Crum, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Pearline Dawson and Mrs. Verlin McDaniel, both of Natchez, Miss.; three brothers, Troy Crum, Gloster, the Rev. Roy Crum, Baton Rouge, and Homer Crum, Greenwell Springs; and five grandchildren, Kelly Reeves, David and Wesley Crum, Nikki and Lindsey Morgan. Preceded in death by parents; and a brother. Pallbearers will be nephews. He was a member of Comite Baptist Church. Memorialdonations may be made to "Miracle Goes On" Fund, in care of Comite Baptist Church, 12250 Greenwell Springs Road, Baton Rouge, 70814.
