RICHMOND, Ind. – Audrey E. Barker, age 79, of Richmond, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Ambassador Healthcare. Born November 9, 1934, in Bristol, Virginia, to Zeddie and Rosie Vergie Worley Turner, she moved to Richmond from Anderson, Indiana in 2002. Audrey worked as a grocery cashier. The family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Ambassador Healthcare. Survivors include her sons, Frank (Pam) Barker of Unionville, Indiana, David (Debbie) Barker of Richmond, and Christopher (Amy) Barker of Florida; grandchildren, David Barker II, Monica, Cassandra, Corey, and Christina Barker; step-granddaughter, Renee; sisters, Martha Fleenor and Norma Jean (Robert) Smith, both of Bristol, Tennessee; nieces; nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L. Barker; parents; brothers, Fred, Clayton, and Charles Turner; and sisters, Edith Snodgrass and Clemons Miller.
