The earliest record of Henry is not his confirmation in 1754 but his baptism, by Rev. Stoever, in 1737. Henry married Anna Margaret Shirk, a daughter of David and Anna Margaret Schoerk/Shirk; Henry is mentioned in David Schoerk's will as a son-in-law, and the Schoerk's were sponsors at the baptism of Henry's daughter Anna Margaret, her mother's and grandmother's namesake.
There are many references to Henry in the church records of the early Reformed Church congregations of Lancaster County. The first entry occurred on December 5, 1737, when his birth was recorded in the records of pastoral acts of the Lutheran and Reformed congregations of the Muddy Creek Church in East Cocalico Township. This was before the Cocalico Reformed Church was established in Ephrata. Later, on March 24, 1776, Henry was installed as an elder in the place of his father, Gerhart, in the Cocalico Reformed Church, which was established a short time later near Ephrata. Close cooperation between the Lutheran and Reformed congregations was not unusual in those days.
Henry Kafroth died intestate; His administrators were Mathias and Jacob Shirk. 219 British pounds; 6 shillings and 4 pence remained in his estate for distribution at the time of settlement in 1806."
