Paulina Dyer was b.1806 in Cape Cod Massachusetts to Charles and Anna Nickerson Dyer. Her father Charles was lost at sea on a whaling excursion abt the year 1815, never to return. She and her mother Anna and possibly another sibling moved to Readfield, Maine where her grandparents Moses and Patience Nickerson were living. They are all found in the 1830 census in Readfield, Maine. Paulina married Shepard Bean of Readfield. They had 4 children; Gustavus Shepard b. 1828, Arabella Anna b.1834, Joshua Filbrown b. 1842, Araanna Anna b.1846.
