EAST TROY-Elmer W. Tess, 75, died unexpectedly Thursday evening in Burlington Hospital after a short illness. Born May 21, 1889, In East Troy Township, the son of William and Minnie Nehls Tess, he was a farmer, Milwaukee streetcar motorman, and before his retirement in 1955, a caretaker at Conference Point Camp, Williams Bay. Surviving are his wife, the former Mabel Mitchell; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Krause; four grandchildren; a brother, Arthur, and three sisters, Mmes. Esther Kehoe, Julia Wendt and Ruby Schinke, all of East Troy. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in St. James Methodist Church, the Rev. Richard Noble officiating, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Anderson-Rohleder Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
