Wanda Jean Moss, 74 of Powderly, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014. She was born in Lamar County, Texas on August 16, 1939 to Sam H. and Ida Mae Chaney Cole.
She married Merwin Latham Moss, Sr. on June 9, 1962 and was a member of Paris Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merwin Moss Sr.; parents, Sam and Ida Mae Cole; son, Terry Campbell; daughter, Cyndi Lowry; brother, Jerry Wayne Cole and a sister. Billie Joyce Godwin.
She is survived by her children, Merwin Latham Moss, Jr. and wife Nikki; Kim Vanderburg and husband Burnie, Melissa Dickson and husband Jason, Sherry Campbell; grandchildren, Heather Hoffman-Moss, Britney Armas, Carley Moss, Lindsay Moss, Natalie Miller, Ashlie Miller, Mandy Miller, Aaron Basinger, Eric Basinger, Chuck Lowry, Jr., Jessica Lowry, Tony Wayne, Valarie Ashley, Kenneth Sims, Jr., Ken Sims, Kristina Campbell, Alanna Vanderburg; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Cole, Jr.
Funeral services have been set for Friday, May 2, 2014 at Ramseur Baptist Church with Rev. Merwin Moss, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Ben Franklin Cemetery.
