Judy Elaine Hendley Strickland died Monday, April 28, 2014 at Christian Care Center in Ashland City, TN after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Butler and her parents, Breece and Carolyn Jackson Hendley. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Born and reared in Cordele, Mrs. Strickland was a homemaker and an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. She is survived by her husband of six years, William Strickland, Jr. of Springfield, TN; a son and his wife, Richard and Mishelle Butler of Cordele; three grandchildren, brother, Joe Hendley of Cordele; and three sisters, Denise Strickland of Americus, Kay Parks of Springfield, TN and LeeAnn Willis of Barnesville.
