Walter O. Oestreich, 76, a former town supervisor living on Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Friday morning at his farm home following a coronary attack.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theophil F. Uetzmann will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
He was born Oct. 5, 1892, on the same farm on which he died. He was the son of the late August and Carolina Krause Oestreich. He married the former Anna Wenzel in Manitowoc Dec. 18, 1907, and the couple settled on the homestead farm.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Earl Oestreich of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, and Roland on the home farm; two sisters, Mrs. Otto Haese of Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Anna Holtz of West Bend, Wis.; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m. Sunday until 1 p.m. Monday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour of service.
